Today I attended a Green Conference through Grainger in Morton Grove, Illinois. There were several companies on hand giving presentations on ways to improve sustainability and make our company "greener." It was very beneficial and a lot of the information that I gathered could be helpful to our team. I have some informational packets etc. that I can pass around on the 29th at our next meeting. It's a demo of Meadwestvaco's new packaging system called Natralock, which is a clamshell alternative that uses a special laminated paperboard with smaller volume of thermoformed material. The demo is pretty funny because the guy fumbles around to open the package, but the product itself is pretty compelling. I think MWV is on to something here. I wonder to what extent they have patent protection.
